THE PROBLEM OF UNEMPLOYMENT AND WAYS OF COMBATING IT IN WARMIAN-MASURIAN VOIVODESHIP

Abstract

The article presents the issue of unemployment in the province Warmia and Mazury, including the ways of counteracting this problem. The article was based on literature of the subject analysis and a survey conducted among registered unemployed people. The purpose of the article is to characterize the labor market in the province Warmia and Mazury and evaluation of the effectiveness of measures undertaken to prevent unemployment. As a result of the topic analysis, the essence of the unemployment concept was defined as well as its root causes, effects and the major/fundamental ways of counteracting this problem. The results of the conducted research constitute a valuable source of information for units dealing with labour market policy, indicating the possible directions for resources allocation remaining at their disposal.
