Abstract

The purpose of the article is to present the conditions, possibilities of functioning and development/expansion of private nursing homes for the elderly in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. Analysis of the topic directed the attention to the problem of aging population and the directly related growing demand for care services. Moreover, the functioning of private and public nursing homes was compared and the awareness was raised to differences in the provided care service`s.
